Weekend Get Away

We were able to get away a few weekends ago and go visit Tyler, Kati, Quincy, and Braxton. We sure had a fun time! We went to the Children's Museum, Adidas outlet, had dinner at the Ram, and went to Church with them on Sunday. It was a quick trip, but well worth it! Quincy at the Children's Museum

At our house...

We had a great holiday season, too bad they go by so fast. We had Thanksgiving at our house this year with all the kids minus Heather, Trevor, and Jakoby. It was so fun having a house full of people and being able to spend time with the grandkids.

Mike and KellyHeather, Trevor, and Jakoby were able to come to Idaho before Christmas. It was so good to have a pre-Christmas holiday with them. This is what Derek has been up to this fall and winter, assistant coach at TVCC for the women's team.

Summer So Far...

Our summer so far:

• Derek and Trevor both graduated from BYU!
• Kent had another birthday--don't ask him how old he is because he can't remember!
• The irrigation pump for the farm caught fire, no water for the crops for a month :(
• The people working on the pump ran over Dog and sent him to doggie heaven.
• Bought a purebred German Shepard female who had been abused on Craigslist for $25. She trusting us more each day, poor girl.
• Heather, Trevor, and Jakoby came for a weekend visit in May. Ate at Golden Corral and went to the Spring Fair Parade. Fun weekend.
• In June the whole family came home!! We had a great time together. Went to the Boise Zoo, made headbands for Kelly's baby, ate, played, talked, etc...
• Heather, Trevor, and Jakoby moved to Indianapolis for dental school.
• Lots of Single's Ward activities--temple trips, FHE, ward parties.
• Our friends Shantell and Nicole from the single's ward and TVCC basketball team graduated and are moving on to play at the next level. Good luck girls.
• Spent July 4th weekend in Jerome. Went to a baby shower for Kelly and spent the day celebrating with Mike's family.
• Went whitewater rafting in Riggins with the clinic. Fun, but very cold. Going rafting again this weekend with 160 single adults. The weather should be a lot better, maybe even up to 100 degrees.

Anniversary

Happy anniversary to US! Can't believe that 29 years ago Kent and I were married in the Logan Temple!! It's funny how the years go by so fast, especially when you're having fun. I remember someone saying that if it rains on your wedding day it means a long happy marriage. Well, that has come true for us because it was raining so hard that day. We have been blessed in so many ways--good kids, good health, jobs, testimonies, and happiness. Here's to many more years together. :)
